Hi Ronnie, I reread this, and this time listened to the music. Loved the second piece especially. Hope you’re doing well. Having followed you for so long through all these stages in your life, I miss your writing after a while and notice the absence. I’m in transition still, away from work, to…what? I envy my partner Robin who has deep interests in flour, bread, grains, growing, milling, baking and there’s a tribe of enthusiasts around that here. He’s also into wood engraving, linocut, printing (another tribe). I’m a tribe of 1 at the moment! I do have friends, but not being super social, I’m not ready for a ‘group’ yet. Take care. Sally

Hi Sally, good to hear from you. Doing ok here, just in between different heart tests - the new normal - but feeling good at the moment anyway. I understand your feelings, having taken several years over my own transition, when all I knew at the beginning of it was that I wanted to stop the social enterprise self-employment I was doing. So even that second time at university now looks like part of my transition to the “just stop” I didn’t know I was aiming for. (I’ve written a bit about that in a new post that’ll be out sometime this week.) And of my writing generally, I’m enjoying it now. The rhythm of issuing longer thought about pieces every two or three weeks, that have been well walked around, in my also not “super social” way. Go well, and take your time.

For me, a captivating journey through allotmenteering, photography, music, walking, health, reading and good writing. What a week Ronnie, and for this reader all the better for the day to day flow of it all. Please keep up the good work and many thanks for the chance to follow and take note of a life being well lived.

Oh, thank you so much Graham. Especially for “the day to day flow of it all.” As you might imagine by the time my inclusion of Monday and Tuesday had extended into Friday then Saturday, the monkey on my shoulder was having a fit at the “more than a bit much” of it all. So I’m glad, long as it is, it worked for you. Thanks for the encouragement.
